Traditional Ruler Facilitates National ID Cards for Subjects in Katsina

The Kanwan Katsina and District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara has facilitated the issuance of National Identity Cards to his subjects.

The chairman of Ketare Youth Development Association (KEDEMA), Comrade Mudassiru Lawal Gurbi confirmed the development.

Gurbi zstated that the foresight of the District head afforded all the eligible persons in all the nine village of Ketare district of Kankara local government to obtain the valid national identification cards with ease.

“Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara collaborated with the office of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) in Kankara Local Government and facilitated the registration and issuance of the national identification card to all eligible persons in Ketare district in the year 2017.

“The Kanwan of Katsina facilitated the provisions and extension of the registration center from Kankara to all the villages and wards in Ketare district to cut short the difficulties people of the area may face in the cause of registration.”

“Our people now find it easy to connect their mobile telephone lines with the National Identification Number as directed by the Federal Government and to obtain national passports for foreign trips including Umrah and Hajj.”

KEDEMA therefore expressed its gratitude to the Kanwan Katsina District head of Ketare for the gesture.

It could be recalled that the office of the National Identity Management Commission in Katsina had sent a commendation letter to the Kanwan Katsina for the effort.
