Zamfara Gov, Security Chiefs Tour Communities after Bandits’ Attacks

Following the visit of His Excellency the Executive Governor of Zamfara State Dr. Mohammed Bello Matawalle MON, to Kanoma and Janbako in Maru and Maradun LGAs, the Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Police Command CP Abutu Yaro fdc, and other heads of security agencies were in the entourage of His Excellency,. The visit was sequel to the last week attack on some villages under the two LGAs.

The Commissioner of Police, during the visit, assured the affected communities that the Police Command in collaboration with other security agencies have reviewed and renewed the existing security arrangement in a bid to effectively protect all villages and communities of the state. He called on the warring factions to desist from self help and embrace the State Government peace process initiated towards restoring lasting peace and tranquility in the state.

The CP further called on the communities to support and cooperate with the security personnel deployed to their areas, so that they can succeed in their mandate. Promising that, the security agencies deployed to them will discharge their duties diligently and professionally.

He thanked the Governor for providing the logistical support to the Police and other security agencies in the state, and pledged to continue to work hard to ensure lasting peace and security of the state.
