The Pioneer Kwara Grand Khadi, Justice Orire is Dead
The death of the pioneer Grand Kadi of Kwara State, Honourable Justice Abdulkadir Orire, CON,has been described as a colossal loss to the people of Ilorin Emirate,Kwara State and Nigeria.
The National President of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union(IEDPU), Alhaji Aliyu Otta Uthman, fsi,stated this in a statement signed on his behalf by the Union’s National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Imam,while reacting to the yesterday’s death of the man he described as “a distinguished elder statesman”.
Alhaji Uthman explained that Justice Orire was an outstanding patriot,an exciting nation builder and a great leader who offered enormous sacrifices towards the peace,progress and development of Ilorin Emirate for so many decades.
The IEDPU President specifically recalled so many fascinating interventions of the departed statesman in the realm of religion, public service and peace building. He added that it was the name and personality of Justice Orire that was usually first recommended to the Union whenever there was the need for the services of truly passionate and apolitical statesmen.

He stated that the records of achievements of the late Jurist were too glaring and pervasive to be ignored by anyone who had sojourned in Kwara State since the early 1970s.
While describing Justice Orire as an excellent Ambassador plenipotentiary of the culture of Ilorin, he also described the departed patriot as a tireless and brave soldier of Islam who fought tirelessly to ensure that the sanctity of Ilorin as an hub of Islamic faith was preserved for generations to come.
Alhaji Uthman,however, thanked Allah for preserving the life of the late Jurist for so long and for affording him the capacities to serve Ilorin Emirate, Islam and humanity the way he did and to the best of his ability.
He condoled with the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr)Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR;the Grand Kadi of Kwara State, Justice Abdulkadir Ola Muhammad and the Orire family on the death of the pioneer Grand Kadi of Kwara State who was also the Marafa and Sarkin Malamai of Ilorin.
Alhaji Aliyu prayed Allah to overlook the shortcomings of Justice Orire and admit him into Al-Janah. He also prayed Allah to grant his family and the Muslim community the fortitude to bear his passage.
