Police Rescue Kidnapped Victims, Recover Rustled Cows in Zamfara

In its total determination and commitment to rid the State of all the recalcitrant criminals who refused to renounce criminal activities and embrace peace, the Zamfara State Police Command under the leadership of CP ABUTU YARO fdc, has made another breakthrough in three (3) local government areas of Kaura Namoda, Birnin Magaji and Gusau respectively. The achievements are as follows :-

1. RESCUE OF FIVE (5) KIDNAPPED VICTIMS :- On 4th February, 2021, Police operatives attached to “Operation Puff Adder” led by DPO Kaura Namoda facilitated the unconditional release of five (5) Kidnapped victims, who were abducted at behind Namoda Secondary school and Zangon Danbade areas of Kaura Namoda. All the rescued victims were medically treated and debriefed by the Police and later reunited with their families. “Efforts to apprehend the perpetrators is ongoing. ”

2. RECOVERY OF ELEVEN (11) SUSPECTED STOLEN COWS IN BIRNIN MAGAJI LGA.
On 3rd February, 2021, another team of Police operatives attached to “Operation Puff Adder” on market patrol at Nasarawa GODEL in Birnin Magaji LGA received an intelligence report about some cows reasonably suspected to have been stolen somewhere in Maradun LGA. The report was effectively utilised, where eleven (11) cows were recovered and taken to the State CID in Gusau for discreet investigation and identification of rightful owners.

3. RECOVERY OF STOLEN VEHICLE HONDA ACCORD IN GUSAU METROPOLIS
On 6th February, 2021, a report was received at Tudun Wada Police station from one Hajiya Zainab Saidu of Gidan Dawa area Gusau that on the same day, she parked her Motor Vehicle Honda Accord Ash with Reg. Number AA 223BKA at opposite Sunny Fast Food, Tudun wada and entered the market, immediately, unidentified criminals came and stole the vehicle. DPO Tudun wada quickly led Police operatives and perused the criminals, where the Vehicle was abondoned and recovered at Premier Road area, Gusau. All the suspects fled to unknown destination before the arrival of the Police. Discreet investigation is being carried out by the State CID Gusau with a view to arresting the suspects and charge them to court for prosecution.

The Commissioner of Police while commending the officers and men of the three (3) Divisions for the wonderful achievement, called on other Divisions and Formations to emulate them and work hard towards ensuring peace and safety of Zamfara State.
