Nigerian Troops Eliminate Boko Haram Terrorists at Mafa on Sunday
The ongoing subsidiary operation within the Theatre of Operation LAFIYA DOLE (OPLD) have continued to record more successes in Sector 1 Area of Operation as elements of Headquarter 22 Brigade and troops of 112 Task Force Batallion on picketing along road Ngwom – Mafa to Maiduguri on Sunday, 11 April, 2021 decisively neutralised 7 members of the Boko Haram Terrorists(BHTs) group supposedly laying in wait to attack own troops and other law abiding citizens.

The troops who have continued to dominate their axis through massive clearance, patrols and ambushes sprang the surprise attack on the terrorists that have been terrorising the peace and livelihood of the people in the area.
In the encounter, about 7.BHTs members were neutralised while 4 Ak 47 rifles were captured along with several other items.
The terrorists laid the ambush targeting own troops along the road but were however trapped and neutralised in their own web. Meanwhile, the troops will continue to ensure the entire area is cleared of unsuspected terrorists elements.
After the duel and successful neutralization of the terrorists, own troops continued their movement to Maiduguri with other logistical items. The moral and fighting efficiency of the troops remain high and satisfactory.
