NPC Debunks Reports of Inclusion of Religion, Ethnicity In Census Questionnaire
The Chairman National Population Commission (NPC), Alhaji Nasir Isa Kwarra has debunked social media reports that the agency had included religion, ethnicity and culture in Pre-test questionnaires being administered to respondents.
The Commission’s State Director in Kano, Alhaji Isma’il Dogo who represented the Chairman at a media briefing in Kano said the report was false and mischievous.
He explained that the Commission had intensified the Enumeration Area Demarcation activities with the intention to complete the exercise in all the 774 Local Government Areas nationwide soon.
The Chairman noted that the 2021 Census Pre-test was targeted at assessing the quality and usefulness of the enumeration areas with existing maps to ensure that the success of the forthcoming census.
