The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya has charged Nigerian Army (NA) Chief Clerks to be responsive and professional in discharging their duties as custodians of army documents and records. The COAS gave this charge today 13 July 2021 at NA Chief Clerks’ Convention 2021 which held in Headquarters 81 Division, Lagos. He further stated that as trained Clerks they must uphold the tenets of security of documents, which provides the guidelines for professional conduct.

The first Lecture titled “Capacity Development of Clerical Staff: Challenges and ways forward” was succinctly delivered by Colonel Onyekachi Eneowo who enlightened the participants on the roles of NA Clerical Staff. He pointed out the challenges to capacity development, especially in the face of current security challenges confronting the nation.
