Chieftancy Titles: Ilorin Emir Honours Kawu Agaka, Alimi Abdulrasaq, Abubakar Baraje, Others
The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has announced the appointment of an inspiring philanthropist, Engineer Kale Kawu Agaka as Dan Iya of Ilorin Emirate.
Kawu, a Member of Third-Estate, a leading socio-cultural group in the Emirate is among eminent personalities honoured with chieftaincy titles by the traditional ruler.

Other new chieftaincy title holders include the elder brother to the Governor of Kwara State, Dr. Alimi Abdulrasaq as Matawale; former Chairman of PDP, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje as Tafida; a seasoned entrepreneur, AlhajiMuhammad Yakubu Olayiwola Gobir as Madaki; and the promoter of the proposed Darul-kitab University, Sheikh Abdulkadir Oba Solagberu as Mallam Ubandoma.
