Traditional Ruler Mobilises Communities for Enumeration Exercise in Katsina
The Kanwan Katsina and District Head of Ketare, in Kankara Local Government, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara (mni) has mobilised his people to ensure the success of the Enumeration Area Demarcation (EAD) exercise in Katsina State.

The District Head made the call during a meeting with village heads in his palace in Ketare where he urged them to their maximum supports in preparations for the forthcoming national census in the country.

Alhaji Kankara directed village heads and religious leaders from the area to use the services of town criers and sermons in the mosque to enlighten their subjects on the importance of the exercise for national development and economic planning.

He said the exercise would guide the government on its planning for road construction, health education and other social amenities.

The traditional ruler therefore urged people to allow demarcators unrestricted access to move freely during the exercise and provide accurate information in order to number and demarcate their houses.
The exercise is expected to last for a month.
