At the dual event held in Abuja, Prof. Anya O. Anya, said their NPL is an initiative of some eminent elders, statesmen and women to recognize outstanding acts of leadership based on a clearly-defined Nigerian paradigm, at various levels of society and human interest.

He said: “It targets Nigerians of all ages who have shown remarkable and sustainable prowess, success, creativity, and exemplary skills in their endeavours through compelling acts of personal, corporate, ethical, and social values and sacrifices.”

According to him, the prize, which will be presented annually, is envisaged to be the highest and most respected single leadership prize in Nigeria.
