NIPR Citizens’ Summit will Provide Solutions to Nigeria’s Lost Hopes–Mukhtar Sirajo

The ‘Citizens Summit for National Integration, Peace and Security’, which will soon be convened nationwide by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, is not an avenue to find faults among Nigerians, the political class or ethnic groups.

But to find solutions for Nigeria’s lost hopes.

This is according to the President and Chairman of NIPR’s Governing Board, Mallam Mukhtar Sirajo, who disclosed this in Abuja on Tuesday.

He stated this when he received the leadership of the ‘Association of Inter-ethnic Married Nigerians’, who paid him a courtesy visit at the NIPR National Secretariat.

Sirajo, who said their Organizing Committee has gone far in planning how to host the Summit across the federation, explained that the response of teeming Nigerians to their forthcoming NIPR’s event is one that is given them tremendous encouragement.

“Many Nigerians we marketed the Citizens’ Summit idea believe it is a timely and worthy one. One that will make Nigeria a lot better than it is now. It is a Summit that will enable Nigeria to retrace its steps,” said the NIPR helmsman.

He emphasized the need to showcase to world the products of inter-ethnic and inter-religious marriages in Nigeria, in order to project one of the positive aspects of the country’s national existence.

Comrade Jacob Obi, Founder and President of the Association, in his remark at the event, said their visit was informed by the need to partner NIPR to actualize the cardinal objectives of their body.

He said: “It is about time Nigerians allow their children to marry whomsoever their hearts desire, in order to unite the country.”
