Flood Victims: NEMA Distributes Agric Inputs to 7,386 Farmers in Borno State

Flood Victims: NEMA Distributes Agric Inputs to 7,386 Farmers in Borno State

Federal government has launched the distribution of agricultural inputs to seven thousand, three hundred and eighty six farmers affected by the 2020 flood in Borno state.

Director General National Emergency Management Agency NEMA Alhaji Mustapha Ahmed said the farmers were selected from eleven local government areas of the state. On Arrival in Maiduguri, the Director General and his team paid a courtesy visit to Governor Babagana Zulum. The DG NEMA Alhaji Mustapha Ahmed maintained that the distribution of the inputs is in fulfilment of Federal government recovery intervention to the farmers,boost productivity and also ensure food security in the country.

The Director General commended Borno state Governor for his commitment to restoring normalcy and addressing the humanitarian situation in the state.

Borno state Governor Babagana Zulum appreciated the Federal Government for it’s continued support to the Borno state Government. The Director General also held a meeting with staff of NEMA North East zonal office where he commended the staff for their dedication to duty.

Highlights for Flag off of Ember months operation Tomorrow by the Borno state command Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) in collaboration with NEMA North East zonal office and other relevant stake holders at Tashan Kano motor park Maiduguri Borno state.
