Brilliant Boys of Borstal School Honoured in Ogun State

Borstal Institution, Abeokuta held her annual Christmas Carol on Thursday 16th December,2021.

The presence of Ogun State First Lady, Her Excellency Mrs Bamidele Abiodun made this year carol very colorful, remarkable and unprecedented.

Mrs Abiodun led the Spouses of Ogun State Functionaries Association (SOSGFA) to the event.

In her address she expressed her delight in personally gracing the event, she appreciated the effort of
Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) under the leadership of the Controller General of Correctional Service Haliru Nababa (mni),
the management and staff of the institution in shaping the lives of the boys to be a better citizens.

She was amazed at the boys performances in external examinations- WAEC (May/June), JAMB; and urged them to be focus in their future endeavors.

After her message, she presented prizes to some deserving students with exemplary academic performances, donated food items, cooked foods, water and drinks and other materials.

She also toured the Institution with Controller of Corrections VM Fatodu and her entourage and other dignitaries to see to state of affairs of the Institution, they were at the academic, vocation, welfare, medical and other important units.

After the tour of the institution, Her Excellency promised to contribute her quota by assisting and supporting the Institution in making the lives of the boys better thus making our society safe.

Earlier on, the controller of Correction, VM Fatodu welcome the guests to the event and took her time to explain the activities of the institutions, her achievements in the last one year and called for partnership and collaboration from well meaning Nigerians in moving the institutions forward.

Other dignitaries that graced the end of the year/carol service are Spouses of Ogun State Functionaries Association (SOSGFA), Chairman – Sam Lawon Rentals, Pralarg Int’l Ogun- State Chapter, RCCG- provinces, Religious Organizations, NGO’s and other bodies, Parents and Guardians.
