Jigawa Police Flush-out Criminals from Hideouts

Jigawa Police Flush-out Criminals from Hideouts

In its bid to get rid of recent rise in kidnapping activities in the State, Jigawa State Police Command organized an intelligent-led-raid code named “Operation flush out”.

The operation was carried out in Sule-Tankarkar LGA with the Officers and Men from Department of Operations, Police Mobile Force, Criminal Investigation Department, State Intelligence Bureau, Medical Department and three Area Commands, of Gumel, Ringim and K/Hausa Area Commands as well as members of the Hunters.

During the operations, three criminal hideouts were raided in Dajin Maizuwo, Dan Gwanki and Yandamo villages all in Sule-Tankarkar LGA. The following achievements were recorded during the raids:
4.1 Arrest: Ten male and four Female suspects were arrested from the raided villages. Two of the suspects sustained injuries as a result of exchange of fire.

Recoveries: During the Operation the following exhibits were recovered;
Three AK47 Rifles.
Nine (9) Magazines and three hundred and eight (308) live ammunition of 7.6mm.
One burnt General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG) with its two empty chains.
One (1) Toyota Hummer Bus.
Nine (9) Motorcycles.
Sum of Two Million and Seventy thousand (₦2,070,000.00k) cash.
One cutlass.
Six (6) different handsets with nine batteries.
Twelve (12) SIM cards.
Five (5) SD Card Memories.
Charms.
Note: One Hadiza Alh. Chadi ‘f’ who was earlier abducted on 08/01/2022 at Marma village of K/Kasamma was rescued unhurt.

Among the rifles recovered, two were carted away from our Police Officers killed at Kwalam village Taura LGA on 23/01/2022 while responding to a distress call

One Motorcycle recovered belongs to one Abdu Isah Sajo ‘m’ a commander of Yanbulala Local Security out-fit who was also shot and killed on 25/01/2022.

Let me stressed here and now that the Jigawa State Command will not relent on its oars of protecting lives and properties of the good people of Jigawa state. Let me conclude by thanking and appreciating the State Government for its support at all time and to appreciate all the Security agencies for their collaboration and synergy. We also thank the good people of Jigawa state for their support and to solicit for more cooperation at all time please.
