Judge Frees 67 Prison Inmates in Adamawa State

The Adamawa State Jail delivery committee has freed 67out of 255 Inmates at Numan MSCC, Shelleng SCFC and Guyuk SCFC respectively.

The committee spearheaded by the Chief Judge Hon.Justice Nathan Musa, set free 57 out of 203 Inmates at Numan MSCC, released 5 out of 31 Inmates at Shelleng SCFC reviewed 7 cases,while at Guyuk 5 Inmates out of 21 got their freedom.

While addressing the discharged Inmates, the chief Judge appealed to them to engage themselves in a lawful activities, saying that, they (judiciary) will not temper justice with mercy again, if any one of the discharged Inmates is rearrested and brought back to the custodial center for one offence or the other.

His Lordship, Justice Nathan Musa committee had while in Numan LGA during custodial decongestion yesterday paid a courtesy call on the paramount ruler,the Hama Bachama,Homun Dr.Daniel Ismail Shaga in his palace.

He briefed the royal father on the activities of his led committee across the state more especially at the custodial centres and appealed for support for the Inmates.

Responding, the Hama Bachama,Homun Dr Daniel I Shaga applauded the committee for granting freedom to Inmates and for the visit, urged the committee not to relent on their good effort of decongesting custodial centres in the state.

In another development, the three In charges of custodial centres visited (Numan,Shelleng & Guyuk) applauded the committee for timely intervention in decongesting custodial centres,prayed for the committee safety journey.
