Many Feared Dead as Security Operatives Battle Kebbi Bandits After Attack on Vigilantes
Security operatives comprising of Nigerian soldiers and policemen have been feared dead during a gun battle with armed bandits in Kebbi State, PRNigeria has learnt.
They were killed yesterday at Kanya village while foiling an attack on members of the community, local sources revealed.

The incident is coming less than 24-hours after the killing of dozen members of some vigilante groups in an ambush, at nearby Sakaba on Monday.
According to an intelligence source in Kebbi, the bandits, in their large numbers, had engaged security forces who attempted to foil their operation, in heavy gun battle for hours.
“There was heavy casualties on both sides”.
He said other security personnel, including injured soldiers were hospitalised.
