APRA Mourns Death of PR Guru Ben Ahiante

Ben Ahiante was very passionate about NIPR and served in many roles including one at the secretariat as Assistant or Deputy Registrar.

He was chairman of the Abuja Chapter while I was that of Lagos, so we struck a very good friendship which lasted till his death.

I saw him last late last year at the Abuja Chapter Annual Conference.

The accident he had was quite serious and knocked him out for a while with several surgeries. But unbowed in spirit, he would still attend NIPR activities with his crutches. Such was the extent of his passion for the profession and the institute.

Alas he has gone the way of all mortals. A way all of us are bound to pass sooner or later.

Please let’s make the best of the time we have together. Take away the rivalry, pettiness, mistrust etc.

Rest in peace my friend and brother Ben Ahaiante.
