Imam Shuaib Agaka: Governor Oyetola Condoles with PRNigeria Publisher

Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has commiserated with Malam Yushau Shuaib, the Publisher of PRNigeria and Economic Confidential, over the loss of his father, Imam Abdulhameed Shuaib Agaka.

The renowned cleric passed on recently and has since been buried in Ilorin Emirate of Kwara State, according to Islamic rites.

According to a condolence letter he personally signed, Governor Oyetola described Imam Agaka as a national treasure whose selfless service to Nigeria will forever remain a source of reference for many generations to come.

In the letter which was delivered at the PRNigeria Headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday by his spokesman, Ismail Omipidan, the Governor urged Malam Shuaib to take solace in the fact that his legendary father lived a life worthy of emulation and was celebrated as an accomplished scholar.

    The letter read in full:

“On behalf of my family, government and the good people of Osun State, I write to commiserate with you on the death of your dear father and eminent elder statement, Imam Shuaib Agaka. With this loss, death has indeed robbed our dear nation of an illustrious and patriotic citizen.

“Dr Agbaka belonged to a rare class of eminent Nigerians whose selfless service to our dear country will forever remain a source of reference for many generations.

“I know this must be a trying time for you and your family, for he was a formidable pillar of support who generously showered his love on his family and others around him.

“We pray for God’s comfort for your family at this time. May Allah reward him with Aljannah Firdaus.”
