Zazzau Emir Hosts ‘Gifted’ ex-Campus Journalist, Ringim, After Bagging Ooni’s Royal Award
Emir of Zazzau, Amb. Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli, with his royal council, have received Mr. Abdulhaleem Ishaq Ringim.
Ringim, the 2021 Campus Journalist of Year winner, was among recipients of the Royal African Award instituted and sponsored by the Ooni of Ife.
An indigene of the Zazzau Emirate, Ringim, alongside one other recipient, Aysha Ahmad, and a troupe of well wishers had visited the Emir to present him their royal award medals, for his royal blessings and prayers.

While addressing the council, Ringim explained that the award is an initiative of the global outreach of the Ooni, through the Royal African Young Leadership Forum (RAYLF) that seeks to identify and annually honour the sterling achievements of 100 young persons from all over the country, in their respective endeavors.
“This award is in recognition of my modest efforts in writing and analyses of socioeconomic and political affairs, which in many ways have contributed to policymaking and government’s decision-making,” he said.
Amb. Bamalli, congratulated Ringim and his fellow awardee for the honour they received.
“We celebrate this uncommon feat, because these kinds of achievements are not for you or your family alone, but for the community and Emirate at large,” he said.
