Bad Day: Gunshots at Abuja Prison after attack on Presidential convoy, and Killing of ACP in Katsina
Gunshots were heard on Tuesday night around Kuje Prison in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja
Some eyewitnesses claimed that the
Kuje Medium Prison came under heavy bombardments by unknown gunmen suspected to be terrorists throwing the entire community in confusions.
A security source told PRNigeria that reinforcement has being activated to as details of the situation were sketchy.
The incident is coming hours after armed bandits opened fire on the convoy of President Muhammadu Buhari in Katsina State.

The attackers, according to a presidential spokesperson, Mallam Garba Shehu, opened fire on the convoy from ambush positions, but they were repelled by operatives of the military, police, and the Department of State Services (DSS) accompanying the convoy.
On the same day, terrorists had ambushed and killed an Assistant Commissioner of Police, Aminu Umar while leading his team on a clearance operation in Zakka forest, Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The police spokesperson in Katsina State, SP Gambo Isah while confirmingthe development , said Umar died in a battle the police had with over 300 bandits.
He said one other person died in the incident, but he did not disclose the identity of the other victim.
