Bail is Free, CP Gumel tells Sokoto Lawyers
0n 14/07/2022, the Commissioner of Police Sokoto State Police Command, *CP Muhammed Usaini Gumel FIPMA,psc* and his Management team recieved in audience executives from Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Sokoto, led by their chairman *Bar. Muhammad Nuhu esq*. The visit provided ground where crucial issues of criminal justice system including Human rights and related matters inline with extant laws and provisions of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Specifically, the duo brainstormed on challenges that hinders success of litigation and suggested way forward. While CP Gumel warmly welcomed the Sokoto State visiting NBA executives and reassured them of his commitment towards facilitating quick dispensation of justice delivery, observance of human rights and zero tolerance to corruption and specifically insisted that bail shall remain free. The CP further reiterated that policemen under his stewardship were from the date of his assumption of office charged to be professional in thier dealings and keep their doors always open for genuine complaints from members of the public they are paid to always serve and protect.
