Cameroonian Military Commander Commends Theatre Commander Gen Musa on Counter-Terrorism Operations

The Force Commander OPERATION EMERGENCE IV of the Cameroonian Defence Force, General Saly Mohammadou has on Thursday, 25 August, 2022 showered ecomiums on the Theatre Commander Joint Taskforce (JTF) North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Maj Gen CG Musa and his officers and men for the feats recorded so far in the fight against insurgency in the North East Region of Nigeria.

General Mohammadou who was received on arrival by the Maj Gen Musa stated that the efforts of the Theatre in totally curbing insecurity and restoring normalcy to the society has positively enhanced the lives of Cameroonian citizens in the crisis affected region bordered to Nigeria.

While extending the appreciation of the Cameroonian Government for the effort and selfless service of the Nigerian troops under OPHK, Gen Saly also urged the Theatre to maintain the momentum of its onslaught on terrorists so as to restore the lost pride of the North East.

In his remarks, Major General CG Musa on behalf of his Officers and Men of OPHK thanked General Saly Mohammadou for finding time to visit his command. He further assured them of the Theatre’s willingness to always and continue to work in synergy with the Cameroonian Forces in order to jointly neutralize remnants of terrorist elements marauding within the shores of the two countries.

Present during the visit were the Deputy Theatre Commander Major General MS Ahmed, the GOC 7 Division and Commander Sector 1 Operation HADIN KAI, Major General W Shaibu, the Chief of Staff Headquarters Theatre Command, Brig Gen A Idris, Component Commanders of Operation HADIN KAI and Principal Staff Officers of Headquarters Theatre Command.
