IEDPU Hails Dr Saudat Abdulbaqi over NIPR Fellowship, Urges Women to Emulate Her
Female indigenes of Ilorin Emirate origin have,again, been reminded of the need to always be focused on their various professions in order to attain positions of eminence as currently being achieved by an Associate Professor of Mass Communication at the University of Ilorin,Saudat Salah Abdulbaqi.
This assertion was made on Sunday (August 28,2022) by the National President of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU),Alhaji Aliyu Otta Uthman, fsi,while reacting to the conferment of the Fellowship of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations(FNIPR) on Dr.Abdulbaqi who he described as an illustrious daughter of the Emirate.

Alhaji Uthman, in a statement signed on his behalf by the Union’s Chief Scribe,Abubakar Imam,said that the Union was delighted that Dr.Abdulbaqi has distinguished herself over the years as a model wife and examplary mother as well as an outstanding broadcaster,media scholar and public relations practitioner of more than three decades.
The IEDPU President explained that, in addition to her contributions as a model image-maker and a media scholar of note,Dr.Abdulbaqi has also done very outstandingly in mentoring upcoming compatriots, particularly younger women,who are aiming higher through the worthy examples afforded them by Dr.Abdulbaqi and her likes across the Emirate.
Alhaji Uthman,who is a retired Director of the Department of State Services, urged parents to invest more on their female children as he reminded them that doing so would lead to generation of more patriotic ladies who would deepen the greatness of our community,the nation and the humanity at large.
He also implored Dr.Abdulbaqi, who is a daughter of the immediate past Imam Imale of Ilorin, Shaykh AbdulRahman Salaudeen Al-Adabiy,to continue to make her services available to the communty for the love of our people.
