ACSPN Re-Elects Prof. Pate As President

The Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria(ACSPN) has re-elected Prof. Umaru Pate as its president.

Solacebase reports that Pate, the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Kashere, Gombe State was re-elected president of the association on Thursday, at its 9th conference and annual general meeting held in Abuja.

The 2022 AGM attended by more than 200 members from all over Nigeria and some African countries, had the theme,’’ Communication, Media and Power Relations in Multi-Cultural Society.’’

The election of new executives of the association established in 2012 was scheduled to hold during the AGM, but the members later unanimously agreed with progress made under the leadership of its president and requested him to continue.

The prominent mass communication scholar was first elected president of the association in November , 2020.
