NCoS Decorates 36 Promoted Officers in Osun

The Controller of Corrections, Nigerian Correctional Service, Osun State Command, CC Tolu Ogunsakin, charged newly promoted officers, to be more dedicated and committed in the discharge of their duties.

The Controller said this during the decoration of thirty six (36) promoted officers, at the State Headquarters, Osogbo, on Thursday 8th September, 2022.

Congratulating the beneficiaries, Ogunsakin urged them to be more dedicated and committed to their duties. He stressed that they should explore their wealth of experience in contributing to national security, especially now that the country is facing security challenges.

He called on those that did not benefit now, to exercise patient as promotion comes from God and their time will eventual come.

“With the promotions come with additional responsibilities and to whom much is given, much is expected”, he said.

In a vote of thanks on behalf of the beneficiaries, CSC Samson Ekuntayo, expressed his profound gratitude to Almighty God and the Controller General of Corrections, and pledged on behalf of others, to approach their new responsibilities and assigned duties with renewed vigor and discretion.

The 36 officers are part of the 3,852 whose promotions were recently released by Civil Defence, Corrections, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB)

Breakdown of the decorated officers are:
Chief Superintendent of Corrections (CSC) – 6
Deputy Superintendent of Corrections (DSC)- 7
Assistant Superintendent of Corrections I (ASC I) – 7
Assistant Superintendent of Corrections II (ASC II) – 13
Inspector of Corrections (IC) – 3
