Shun Divisive Politics, NIPR Boss Charges New Certified PR Practitioners

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has inducted a total of 143 new members into the institute.

The induction took place virtually on Thursday.

Speaking at the occasion, the President of the Institute, Mukhtar Sirajo, welcomed the new members into the institute.

He charged the newly inducted members to shun partisanship of all kinds and embrace diversity to keep the country united, adding that they joined the charted Institute at a critical time when the country need their services more than ever before.

“I want our colleagues in the profession to commit themselves to educate the Nigerian nation on issue-driven politics rather than primordial sentiments. We should deliver to enable people to be security conscious all the time.”

The Chairman Membership Committee, Dr. Sule Ya’u Sule, has also congratulated the new members on their induction into the professional family of public relations practitioners.

He cautioned unregistered members to register with the institute, noting that practicing public relations in Nigeria without certification by the NIPR has been criminalised.
