Yemi-Esan: Why Public Servants Must Exercise Regularly

The Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan has emphasized the need for Public Servants to participate in a monthly keep fit exercise as it is necessary to enable them function efficiently and effectively at their work places.
Dr Yemi-Esan disclosed this as the Chief Guest Jogger during an Aerobic Exercise for Public Servants tagged ‘’CELEBRATING NIGERIA AT 62’’ held on Saturday, 24th September, 2022 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja. She reiterated her support for Federation of Public Service Games (FEPSGA) Games, stating that it is an avenue for Public Servants to Keep-Fit which is mandatory for Nation Building and National Development.
Dr Yemi – Esan commended FEPSGA for creating an Aerobics Exercise for Public Servants to keep fit monthly and also to socially interact with one another in building a formidable work force that will polish and boost a credible image of the Service in the new Era.
She also appreciated the Executives of FEPSGA Games and urged Public Servants to be committed by making the exercise a duty as they ensure they work together with FEPSGA executives. she further promised to be available whenever she is disposed in order to show her own commitment.
The National President of FEPSGA, Comrade Aloku Amaebi said that with the support of the Head of Service, FEPSGA has been taken to the next level. He further said that Nigeria will be 62 on the 1st of October,2022, therefore the Exercise for September is meant to honor the sacrifices of the past Leaders and to be continued from where they have stopped.
The Trophy and Certificate for Best Aerobics Dignitary was won by Monilola Udoh, Permanent Secretary, Science, Technology and Innovation.
Trophies and Certificates were presented to winners from various teams across the MDA`s. The Trophy and Certificate for 1st position, best kitted Team, was won by the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, the 2nd by Federal Ministry of Water Resources, while the 3rd was won by the Federal Civil Service Commission.
Trophy and Certificate for 1st Position punctuality was won by Federal Ministry of Transportation, 2nd position by Federal Ministry of Water Resources, while the 3rd was won by the Federal ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.
Trophy and Certificate for 1st position in highest Attendance was won by the federal Ministry of Works and Housing, 2nd position was won by Federal Ministry of Water Resources, while 3rd position was won by Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Trophy and Certificate for 1st Position Best behaved was won by office of the Surveyor-General of Federation, 2nd position by the office of Head of civil Service of the Federation, while the 3rd was won by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity.
Trophy and Certificate for 1st position for Best Aerobics was won by Nigerian Meteorological Agency, 2nd was won by Federal Inland Revenue Service.
The following Permanent Secretaries were present, Dr Emmanuel Meribole, Federal Ministry of Aviation; Monilola Udoh, Federal of Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Marcus Ogunbiyi Olaniyi.
