2023: Ex-Defence Spokesperson, Gen. Enenche, Endorses Peter Obi
A retired senior military officer, Maj. Gen. John Enenche, has endorsed the presidential flagbearer of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi and his running mate, Sen. Datti Baba Ahmed, for the 2023 presidential election.
Enenche, the pioneer Coordinator of the Defence Media Operations, DMO, made his endorsement of the Obi-Datti ticket in a 3-minute video, exclusively obtained by PRNigeria.
According to the erstwhile military officer, Nigerians have depended so much on political parties for the choice of presidential candidates for about two decades now, and it has not produced the expected result.
“Therefore, it is expedient to try another model oin line with the current mood of the country. And this should be in the form of mass concurrence on the kind of president Nigerians need,” he said.
Enenche, disclosed that it will be an act of ‘un-patriotism’ if after several years of privilege studies on leadership and strategies if he keeps quiet without commenting on political activities going on towards the election of leaders in 2023.

PRNigeria reports that retired General Enenche, began his military career in the year 1984 after gaining admission into the Nigerian Defense Academy as a member of 35 Regular Combatant Course.
He obtained a degree in Geology and Mining from the University of Jos and a Masters in Strategic Studies from University of Ibadan.
He also held positions of Officer Commanding Engineer Squadron, Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Commanding Officer, 14 Field Engineers Regiment and Nigeria Battalion 11 (NIBATT) United Nations Mission In Liberia (UNMIL) and Directing Staff, National Defence College among others.
Major General John Enenche’s father, Late Chief D Enenche was the paramount ruler of Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State, while his younger brother, Paul Enenche is the founder of Dunamis International Gospel Centre.
