Nigerian Mission Hosts Independence Anniversary Dinner in Chad
The Nigerian Embassy in N’djamena Chad celebrated Nigeria’s Sixty Second Independence Day Anniversary in grand style. The auspicious Dinner was well attended by top Chadian Government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, international organizations as well as agencies, traditional rulers, members of the Nigerian community in Chad and other distinguished invited guests at the Ledger Plaza Hotel, N’djamena.

The Dinner was an opportunity for the Nigerian Mission in Chad to showcase Nigeria’s camaraderie in cognizance with the principle of good neighborliness and peaceful coexistence. The Charge D’Affaires of the Embassy of Nigeria, N’djamena, Ambassador Yahaya Danjuma Faruk delivered the Independence speech. In his speech he reiterated Nigeria’s commitment at ensuring peace and stability particularly in the Sahel Region and the Continent in general. The high point of the Dinner was the cutting of the Anniversary cake by the Special Guest of Honour, The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs assisted by the Charge D’Affaires, Executive Secretary of LCBC and the FC MNJTF. The Dinner came to an end with the Nigerian Defence Attaché in Chad, Col OU Eke making the vote of thanks.
