As US issues Security Alerts in Africa, Speaker Pelosi’s Husband Attacked in America
Assailants had in the wee hour of Friday break into the San Francisco’s residence of US Democrat House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, and violently assaulted her husband, Paul Pelosi.
This is coming few days after US Missions in some African countries including Nigeria and South Africa have been issuing various security threats alerts warning of potential terror attacks.
In a recent Travel Advisory, the US government listed 14 states in Nigeria that they warned their citizens should not travel to due to what it calls: “crime, terrorism, civil unrest, kidnapping, and maritime crime.”

Meanwhile, a statement issued by the House Speaker’s office stated that the attackers have been apprehended and put into custody for investigation.
However, the US Capitol Police revealed that the House Speaker was in Washington with her protective detail at the time of the assault.
The police said they are working with the FBI and the San Francisco Police on the investigation in order to uncover the motive behind the attack.
Notwithstanding, the public have described this incident as shameful such that the US could not set its house in order while busy aggravating security situation in some African countries through issuing vague security alerts thereby heightening tension and fear among the society.
