NSCDC Gets Response Office in Zamfara, Assures Residents of Safety in Anambra
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Zamfara State Command has established a brand new Rapid Response Unit’s office at Igala Quarters sokoto bye pass Gusau Zamfara State.
Speaking during the official handing and taking over of the office, the State Commandant of the Corps, Commandant Muhammad Bello Muazu reiterated his resolve to make security available at the door steps of all and sundry.
The State Commandant said that he is poised to establish more rapid response offices across the State Capital in order to effectively combat crime and insecurity in the state.
Commandant MB Muazu also reiterated that, all illustrious indignes of Zamfara State should emulate the kind gesture of the the philanthropist Alh. Almustapha Kwando who graciously donated the office to the Corps. He posits that security is the business of all and sundry. He therefore urged communities, individuals and other bodies to close ranks with security agencies to ensure the safety of life and properties in the state.
Commissioning the edifice, the Chief of Staff to the State Governor, Alh. Ibrahim Suleiman extolled the Corps for the invaluable contributions towards the security architecture of the State. He enjoined everyone to give practical support to security agencies in ensuring that Zamfara State is purged of all forms of criminalities.
The Chief of Staff eulogized the effort of the philanthropist Alh. Almustapha Kwando who donated the office to the Corps. He urged all and sundry to emulate this kind gesture.
Meanwhile, Alh. Almustapha Kwando who spoke through Prof Nasir Garba Anka said that he has decided to give back to the society in his own little way to ensure the safety of life and properties within the Quarters.
Alh. Kwando officially handed over the office keys to the Deputy Commandant Admin, Ibrahim Yakubu Dauda on behalf of the State Commandant, Commandant Muhammad Bello Muazu.

In view of the expected increase in economic activity, movement of people as well as several church and social activities which may attract large crowds during the forthcoming festive season, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command, under the leadership of Commandant Isdiore C. Chikere wishes to assure the good people of the State of its readiness to perform its statutory responsibility of protection of lives and property of innocent citizens, coupled with all the Critical National Assets and Infrastructure in the State during the celebration.
The Command has put in place adequate security measures in collaboration with sister security agencies and all critical stakeholders to ensure a peaceful and orderly celebration of the Yuletide season. Consequently, the State Commandant has ordered the deployment of one thousand, nine hundred and thirty one (1931) officers and men drawn from Tactical Squad, Operations Department, the Anti-Vandal Unit, the Agro-Rangers, Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU), the Rapid Respond Unit ( RRS) , Special Female Squad, Chemical, Biological Radioactive Nuclear Energy Unit (CBRNE), Critical National Assets and Infrastructure Protection Department and the Department of Intelligence and Investigation for both foot and mobile patrols as well as fixed – point presence and increased – led operations across churches, event/recreational centres, motorparks, markets identified routes and flashpoints among others.
Personnel deployed for this critical assignment are under strict instruction of the State Commandant to be civil but firm in the discharge of their duties. Furthermore, the Command is prepared to deal with hoodlums, political thugs and other disgruntled elements that may attempt to cause break down of law and order before during and after the festive period.
Finally, Comdt Chikere wishes to extend his warm greetings to Christian faithful and other citizens in the state, as they celebrate Christmas and New Year and equally enjoins them to cooperate with NSCDC and other security agencies, in their efforts towards ensuring peaceful celebrations and report any suspicious person or object to the nearest NSCDC formation in all the twenty one local Government Areas of the State or call the Command emergency phone number 0806 676 9442
