Police College Graduates 1180 Recruit Constable in Maiduguri

The Nigeria Police Force has today, 29th December 2022, graduated a total of one thousand one hundred and eighty (1180) Recruit Constables from the Police College Maiduguri, Borno State, who are part of those successful in the 2021 ten thousand (10,000) Police Constables recruitment exercise.
(2) The Passing Out Parade Ceremony was conducted simultaneously in various Police Colleges and Training Schools across the country marking the end of the six-months long training exercise.
(3) The event witnessed parades and presentation of Awards to those who distinguished themselves in various aspects of the training in the college. In his address, the Inspector-General of, IGP Usman Alkali Baba Psc(+) NPM, fdc NEAPS, CFR who was ably represented by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG ) in-charge of Nigeria Mobile Force, AIG ALI JANGA, charged the graduands to show the highest level of character, discipline and integrity, noting that these will determine the extent they go in their policing career. He reminded them that discipline is the bedrock of policing and that “The Best Form of Discipline is Self-Discipline.”
(4) The IGP also stated that, as part of advancing the community policing goals, the Police Constables will be “posted back to their respective local government areas of origin to further entrench the Policing Strategy of the Federal Government of Nigeria towards addressing communal crimes in their respective areas of responsibility.” He further stressed that they “will be deployed to complement officers on the forthcoming election security duties across the nation, in a bid to ensure a free, fair and credible electoral process.”
(5) The Commandant of the College, DCP BETHRAND ONUOHA ,who gave a closing remarks thanks the inspector General of Police and urged the passed out constable to exhibit what they have been trained to be in the course of discharging their duties.
(6)The Commissioners’ of Police in-charge of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa State Police Commands/their representatives, Police officers, Heads of other security agencies, parents, guardians, relatives, and friends of the graduands and well-wishers, among other persons, attended the colorful event. The event was done successfully without any hitches.
