The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Maj.-Gen. Lucky Irabor has commended the effort of the veteran military personnels who have died in the line of duty.

The Armed Force Remembrance Day which usually marked 15th January was set aside in honour veterans of World War I and II, as well as the Nigeria Civil war.

“Tonight’s events is witness to also honour them to let them know that their services would indeed, never, ever be forgotten.

Irabor also commend the coordinator of paint balling Combat competition. He said: “I’m proud that we’ve been able to put this together in partnership with the Force Hunters who, of course, came up with the idea and suggested the partnership.

“We are looking forward that we do everything possible to partner with them for making this as an annual event as we remember our fallen heroes and of course the Armed Force as we celebrate this every January in the coming years.
