NSCDC in Strategic Partnership at State Commands
STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP: COMDT YUSUF IMAM SEEKS DEEPER TIES WITH NIGERIA ARMY, DSS FOR A PEACEFUL AKWA IBOM
The new State Commandant of NSCDC Akwa Ibom State Command, Dr. Yusuf Adam Imam has sought the collaboration and support of the Nigerian Army and the Department of State Services (DSS) to enable him successfully deliver on the mandates of the corps and add value to the security architecture in the state.
Speaking on Tuesday, 7th February, 2023 during a courtesy visit to the Brigade Commander of the 2 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Brig Gen ASM Wase, Comdt Imam stated ” I am here as custom demands to present myself to you as the new State Commandant of NSCDC in Akwa Ibom State and more importantly, to request that you extend the cooperation you gave my predecessor to me. I am a man of few words and more action, I want to assure you that you will see positive results from my actions”
In his response, Gen Wase assured his guest of maximum cooperation, noting that the Army has always enjoyed a robust synergy with NSCDC.
Similarly, Dr Yusuf Imam also extended a courtesy visit to the State Director of the Department of State Services, *Mr MA. Kaumi* who welcomed him warmly to Akwa Ibom State. Mr Kaumi pointed out the dynamic nature of emerging security threats in the country, stating that it mutates from time to time and as such, security agencies must not only synergise, but must also be proactive, especially as the general elections approaches.
Commandant Yusuf Imam appreciated the extensive support NSCDC has enjoyed from the DSS, while seeking that the frontiers of the partnership be extended for the benefit of Nigerians. He also acquainted the State Director of his modus operandi, which is to have his actions speak for itself.
Both service commanders presented plaques to Commandant Imam as they wished him an eventful and successful service time in Akwa Ibom State

2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS: OGUN STATE COMMANDANT VISITS, MONITORS INEC MOCK ACCREDITATION EXERCISE
The Ogun State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Commandant Niyi L. Ajibola was on ground to monitor some centres in the Abeokuta Metropolis during the INEC mock accreditation exercise and test running of Bi-Modal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS) held on Saturday, 4th February, 2023.
The State Commandant’s visitation across the Abeokuta Metropolis was aimed at first hand observation and appraisal of the level of compliance to the exercise.
The supervision exercise is also aimed at guaranteeing the safety of lives of the INEC’s Ad-hoc staff while also offering protection to their facilities against unexpected attacks during the process.

2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS: OGUN STATE COMMANDANT VISITS VENUES OF INEC’s TRAINING AHEAD OF THE POLL

The Ogun State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Commandant Niyi L. Ajibola, was at the venue of the Independent National Electoral Commission- INEC-organised State Level Security Training for security personnel including NSCDC held at the Police Officers’ Mess, Ibara, Abeokuta, between the 3rd-4th February, 2023.
This training is one of the lots that have been put up by the Independent National Electoral Commission, Ogun State, to further enhance the stakeholders and personnel of security agencies in the State as mandated by the Commission across the country.
The State Commandant was at the centre to show the level of commitment and dedication of the NSCDC to the Nigerian project, talking about the successfulness of the election come February 25 and March 11, 2023 as already slated by the Commission.

2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS: OGUN STATE COMMANDANT ATTENDS WORKSHOP AT THE CSM, ABEOKUTA
The Ogun State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Commandant, Niyi L. Ajibola, was at the workshop organized by the NSCDC College of Security Management, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
The workshop is one of such retraining programmes ahead of the general elections aimed at equipping the security agencies and other stakeholders with the required skills, knowledge and wherewithal needed to execute the elections professionally.
Aside from various representations from other security agencies in the State, also at the event are the representative of the Olowu Of Owu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty (Oba) Sabree Bakre; and the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Ogun State, Barrister Niyi Ijalaye and a host of others.
The theme of the workshop is “Electoral Transparency: A Panacea To A Secured And Developed Nation” held in the CSM’s Main Auditorium.

INEC TWO (2) DAYS ZONAL SECURITY TRAINING FOR ELECTIONS SECURITY PERSONNEL (ESP)
following the successful training of Election Security Personnel (ESP) at State level Training, INEC stepped down the training to Zonal level where Area Commanders and Divisional Officers are major participants.
The Zonal Training was conducted in Katsina-Ala for Zone A, in Makurdi for Zone B and Otukpo for Zone C.
As a result of the superlative performance of the NSCDC component at the State Level Training through their various presentations, the INEC selected the Command PRO DSC EA MICHAEL as her major Security Resource person for the Zone C Level Training.
At the training, the CDPRO comprehensively did justice to the following subject areas:
Election Security Personnel (ESP) and their Responsibilities
Code of Conduct and Rules of Engagement
Enforcing Election Day Restriction
Deployment and Mobilization.
Another standout point at the Zonal Level training, is the professional disposition of the Command Divisional Officers, through the different presentations made by them for their various groups
The Zonal Level Training was conducted on the 6 – 7 February, 2023.
