UNISFA Commander Gen Sawyerr Extols Ghanaian Contingent for CIMIC Projects
The UNISFA Acting Head of Mission and Force Commander, Major General Benjamin Olufemi Sawyerr, on Thursday 16 February 2023 at Athony the Sector South Headquarters of UNISFA, extol the virtues of the Ghanaian Contingents to UNISFA.
He praised the Ghana Government and its Contingent for responding swiftly to the UN request for the reconfiguration of the Multinational Peace Keeping Force in UNISFA.

He stated that the units have made UN, UNISFA, and Ghana proud through their acts of bravery, professionalism, and community engagement through laudable CIMIC projects and medical services to the host communities.
He further stated that despite all the challenges faced, they were able to deliver on UNISFA Mandate implementation. He urged the Contingent to see the Award of the UN Medal as a recognition of their contribution to the cause of peace and that it should spur them to do more to the service of humanity.
Present at the occasion were the Ghanaian Delegation led by Major General Charles Kodjo Abede Awity from Ghana, members of the Management Leadership Team of UNISFA, Commanding Officers of other UNISFA Contingents, staff officers and heads of sections in UNISFA.
