Kwara Gov mourns Death of Civil Rights Activist, Bashiru Saliu
Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has commiserated with the civil society community on the death of Mr. Bashiru Saliu of the Meadows Community Development Outreach (MCDO), describing it as shocking and painful.
The governor expressed his condolences in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, on Tuesday March 7, 2023.

According to the governor, the activist was a man of great impacts who gave his all in the service of the community and was known for his team spirit and passion to serve humanity.
“Everyone has testified to the positive impacts that Mr. Bashiru had on the people around him and his roles within the Kwara State civic space.
“This is a consolation to thank Almighty God for a life well spent, however painful his death is to all of us. I send my heartfelt condolences to his family, other members of the MCDO, and the entire civil society movement in the state.
“May he find forgiveness, peace, and deserving rest with God,” the statement said.
