District Head Applauds Journalists for Ensuring Peaceful 2023 Elections in Katsina
Journalists in Katsina State have been commended for their role in the successful conduct of the 2023 general elections.
Kanwan Katsina and District Head of Ketare town, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara, made the commendation when the executives of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Katsina State Council, paid him a courtesy visit in his palace.
He said journalists in the state played a vital role in educating and enlightening voters on the voting process, together with PVC registration and collection, among others.

Alh. Bello Kankara recalled how journalists in the state traveled across the nooks and crannies of Katsina to provide real time reports of the electoral process.
The Kanwan Katsina while congratulating his guests, who were recently sworn in as officials of the Katsina NUJ Council, urged them to justify the confidence reposed on them.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Katsina NUJ, Comrade Tukur Hassan Dan Ali, said they were at the Ketare District Head Palace to facilitate Alh. Bello Kankara on his safe return from his foreign travels, and also to celebrate the world Press Freedom Day.
Comrade Dan Ali said journalists in Katsina state have always worked cordially with the State Government, traditional institutions, security agencies, business community and the general public.
