Rotary Clubs, Foundation Train FCT Teachers on Modern Teaching Skills
Rotary Clubs in Abuja District 9125, in partnership with Greenolives Development Foundation (GDF), has launched an Educational Empowerment Project for teachers in Federal Capital Territory, FCT, schools.
Themed, “Empowering Teachers to Empower Students,” the launching event was held at Government Girls Secondary School Dutse, in Abuja.
PRNigeria gathered that the event witnessed the training and equipping of over 120 teachers across various public schools in the FCT, with modern educational training kits aimed at boosting their teaching capacities.
The training is meant to deepen teachers’ capacity in order to gain valuable insights, explore new techniques and acquire practical skills that they can apply directly in their classrooms.
In the long run, the teachers will learn modern teaching methodologies, innovative approaches, and best practices that will enable them to create dynamic and interactive learning environments in their various schools.
The District 9125 Governor Nominee (DGN), Dame Joy Nky Okoro, underscored the need to empower and upgrade FCT teachers’ skills, from traditional to the modern techniques of teaching.
In her remarks, Principal of the host School, Mrs. Fatima Mohammed, appreciated Rotarians in Abuja for the choice of their school among several others, to carry out the laudable project.

She further urged the participating teachers to take full advantage of the training program so as to impart the new knowledge they will gain on their students, in order to shape and prepare them for a better tomorrow.
Also, Rotarian Agwu Ijeoma, heaped a lot of praises on the 17 Abuja Rotary Clubs and the Greenolives Development Foundation for partnering to execute the gigantic educational development project.

“Your unwavering support and commitment to this project have made it possible to bring this transformative training to fruition.
“I also express my sincere appreciation to the Greenolives Development Foundation for their invaluable partnership. Together, we strive to create an educational landscape where teachers are empowered, students are inspired, and communities thrive,” said Ijeoma.
The President also commended the participating teachers for their dedication, passion, and resilience, emphasizing that they remain the catalysts of change and guiding lights in the lives of countless young minds.
In her remark, the Executive Director, Greenolives Development Foundation, Mrs. Adaeze Emmanuel, expressed her gratitude to all the Rotary Clubs that collaborated on this impactful educational empowerment project that brings relief to teachers in Abuja.
