Reps Confirm Service Chiefs’ Appointment
The House of Representatives on Wednesday confirmed the appointment of the Service Chiefs as requested by President Bola Tinubu.
The confirmation followed the consideration of the report of the ad hoc committee that screened the appointees headed by Hon. Babajimi Benson and comprised all Principal Officers of the House.

The service Chief Confirmed are Major-General Christopher Gwabin Musa as Chief of Defence Staff, Major-General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja as Chief of Army Staff, Rear Admiral Emmanuel lkechukwu Ogalla as Chief of Naval Staff and Air Vice Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar as Chief of Air Staff.
The Chairman of the Adhoc Committee, Babajimi Benson, urged them to work in synergy by sharing intelligence adding that members of the Armed Forces must adhere strictly to the provisions of the Appropriation Act.
The House Committee had on Monday screened four appointees following the request forwarded to the House by the President.
The Senate had earlier cleared the appointees who will now be decorated with the new rank by the President.
