Ground Troops Eliminate Bandits in Northwest Enclaves, Recover RPG, Ammunitions
Ground troops in Northwestern states of Sokoto and Zamfara have intensified their onslaught on bandits’ enclaves.
A defence intelligence operative told PRNigeria that coordinated clearance operations by the troops of Operation Hadarin Daji led to the destructions of bandits camps at Mutuwa, Guda tudu, Kawar, Dantayawa, Gidan Kare, Mahuta and Gyado villages.
“Similarly, troops at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Faru in Maradun LGA of Zamfara state acting on credible intelligence, stormed bandits’ location at Bagabuzu village.

PRNigeria gathered that after the encounter General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG), FN Rifle, motorcycles and rounds of Special ammunition were recovered.
Meanwhile, the General Officer Commanding 8 Division Sokoto/ Commander Joint Task Force Northwest Operation HADARIN DAJI Major General Godwin Mutkut commended the troops for resilience, gallantry and sustenace of the military operations onslaught and called on the general public to support the OPHD military with credible information about activities of bandits for timely response.
