Katsina District Head Gets ‘Media-Friendly Royal Father’ Award
A Lagos State-based media organization, FrontLine Reporters, has honoured Kanwan Katsina and District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara, with an award of ‘Media-Friendly Royal Father’.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Sarkin Labarun Kanwan Katsina, Jamilu Hashimu Gora, and made available to newsmen.
The FrontLine Leadership award was presented to Alh. Bello Kankara during a ceremony at Welcome Center International Hotels Lagos, attended by distinguished guests, community leaders, and media personalities, among others.
The statement quoted the management of the media organization saying the leadership award was presented to the Katsina royal father in recognition of his exceptional efforts in fostering a strong and cordial relationship between the media and the traditional institutions, as well as promoting transparency, cultural heritage and community development.

The statement further said the FrontLine Reporters described Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara as a former Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Customs Service, and now a traditional ruler who has demonstrated remarkable dedication to upholding the traditions and values of Ketare Royal Heritage by embracing the power of the media to connect with the wider public.
FrontLine Reporters noted the commitment of Alh. Kankara towards promoting unity and cultural diversity which has significantly contributed to the development and progress of the region through engaging with the media to highlight challenges and aspirations of Ketare District in Katsina, while enabling relevant stakeholders to proper a solutions and initiate positive change.
Receiving the award, Alh. Bello Kankara expressed gratitude to the organizers of the event and all those who played a part in bestowing the prestigious honour upon him and commended the frontline Reporters for finding him worthy of the award.
He then emphasized the importance of synergy between the media and the traditional institutions in fostering an inclusive and informed society.
