TRADOC Cautions Senior Staff Course Candidates Against Exam Malpractice

TRADOC Cautions Senior Staff Course Candidates Against Exam Malpractice

The Commander Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Nigerian Army, Major General Kevin Aligbe urged candidates of the Nigerian Army 2023 Senior Staff Course Qualifying Examination to shun any form of examination malpractices that will undermine the sanctity and integrity of the examination standard of the Nigerian Army.

General Aligbe made the call recently while addressing candidates for the examination at Lieutenant General AO Ihejirika Auditorium in Jaji Military Cantonment near Kaduna.

The TRADOC Commander who is also the Examination President reminded the candidates on the consequencies and sanctions of such illegal act. He also stated that the examination aside being a major prerequsite to attend the Senior Staff Course at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji and any other subscribed Staff Colleges overseas, is a criteria for promotion to the rank of Major in the Nigerian Army.

The Examination President added that the examination is aimed at evaluating the proficiency of the officers of the rank of Captain while developing their junior leadership capabilities in the Nigerian Army. Furthermore, the examination also heips the Nigerian Army to produce problem – solving officers under bearing in mind the nation’s current security challenges in line with the Chief of Army Staff ‘s Command Philosophy. Therefore, the examination is a key determinant in the career progression of the candidates.

General Aligbe added that the examination template is channeled towards effective training and retraining of personnel in all Nigerian Army training institutions with a view to producing well trained, highly professional and motivated manpower for the Nigerian Army in line with the Chief of Army Staff Command Philosophy for the Nigerian Army which is “To Tranform the Nigerian Army into a Well – Trained, Equipped and Highly Motivated Force Towards Achieving our Constitutiinal Responsibilities within a Joint Environment”.

General Aligbe who urged the candidates to do their best assured the candidates of equity, fairness, objectivity and transparency of the Examination Panel/ Directing Staff in the conduct of the Examination .

Earlier in his welcome address, the Commander Infantry Corps, Major General OO Oloyode urged the candidates to put in thier best and maintain the sanctity and integrity of the examination even as he described the exercise as a career development with emphasis on Counter Terrorism and Insurgency Operations among others.

The event was attended by observers from Army Headquarters , Principal Staff officers from Headquarters TRADOC Nigerian Army , Headquarters Infantry Corps and Centre, some military formations around Kaduna, Members of the Examination Panel and Directing Directing Staff among others.
