Fellow Olubunmi Badejo is the embodiment of excellence, integrity, and professionalism within the dynamic realm of public relations. With an illustrious career spanning nearly four decades, she has not only showcased unparalleled expertise but has also demonstrated an unwavering commitment to fostering international relations and enhancing Nigeria’s global image. As a distinguished member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Fellow Badejo has made a lasting impact, solidifying her status as a paragon of distinction.

Fellow Olubunmi Badejo has etched her name into history as the first female Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) from the FCT Chapter in 2013. This groundbreaking achievement is a testament to her dedication to dismantling barriers and advocating for gender equality within the realm of professional acknowledgment.

Her global impact is underscored by the prestigious award of honor bestowed upon her by Association Bienvenue en France, Paris, in 1995. This accolade acknowledges her exceptional professionalism in human relations and her steadfast commitment to projecting Nigeria’s image on the international stage. With fluency in French, German, English, Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba, Fellow Badejo serves as a seamless conduit for cross-cultural communication, positioning her as a vital bridge between nations.

Fellow Olubunmi Badejo’s journey through the Federal Civil Service is a tapestry of accomplishments. Her roles include serving as the Director of the Office of the Chief of Staff to the President (Foreign Affairs) in 2017, Federal Director at the Ministry of Information, and Chief Press Secretary to distinguished Honorable Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Her leadership as Chairperson of the Power Sector Information Management Team (PSIMT) from 2009 to 2010 underscores her multifaceted expertise and her adept navigation of complex arenas.

Fellow Badejo’s influence extends beyond national borders. She played a pivotal role as the official French interpreter during the historic 2023 Inauguration and Swearing-in Ceremony of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kassim Shettima. As a member of the Presidential Delegation to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in 2015 and Nigeria’s representative at the Crans Montana Forum in Monaco, France in 2008, her diplomatic prowess has significantly contributed to Nigeria’s international relations.

Fellow Olubunmi Badejo’s commitment to intellectual growth is evident through her academic achievements. In 2022, she earned a Certificate in Religion, Conflict, and Peace from Harvard University and was honored with the Award of Honour from the Pan African Women Ecumenical Empowerment Network (PAWEEN). Her pursuit of knowledge has led her to esteemed institutions such as the Chinese Academy of Governance, Harvard University, and The Management School in London.

Fellow Olubunmi Badejo’s illustrious career journey is adorned with numerous accolades, including the AMA International Women’s Day Outstanding PR Leadership Award in 2020, the title of Fellow at the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC) in 2019, and the Chinese Academy of Governance’s Certificate in Public Administration in 2010. Her esteemed career began as a University Scholar at the University of Ibadan, where she pursued a combined honors degree in French and German.

Fellow Olubunmi Badejo’s extensive travels have cultivated an unparalleled understanding of diverse cultures, enhancing her ability to forge connections and facilitate understanding across borders. Her legacy is a testament to the impact of dedication, expertise, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence.
