Again, Gen. Musa Reiterates Commitment to Supporting Democracy

Again, Gen. Musa Reiterates Commitment to Supporting Democracy

1. The Chief of Defence Staff ( CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa has identified unity and harmony as a catalyst to national growth. General Musa said this today, 5 September, 2023 when he paid a visit to Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Headquarters, Abuja.

2. Speaking during the visit, the CDS appreciates CAN for it’s prayers and support to the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN). He also reiterated the commitment of the AFN towards supporting our democracy.

3. The CDS further emphasise the need for unity as key to national growth. He said our differences should enhance national development rather than division. General Musa added that the business of securing the nation is a collective efforts, as no one can do it alone.

5. In his response, the CAN President, His Eminence, Most Reverend, Dr Daniel Okoh thanked the CDS for visiting. He assured the CDS of CAN’s continuous support to the AFN to be able to deliver on its constitutional responsibilities. He also applauded the CDS for being the first to visit the CAN Secretariat. His eminence, identifies religous bodies as closer to the grass root. Dr Okoh also commended the CDS and the AFN for securing the nation thus far.
