CMPA, CSOs, Media to Develop Anti-Corruption Reporting Template
The Centre for Media, Policy, and Accountability (CMPA) has convened stakeholders to develop a standardized template for anti-corruption reporting in Nigeria.
The initiative, known as the Nigeria Anti-Corruption Performance Public Reporting (NAPPR) Project, is funded by the MacArthur Foundation.
The center while rounding off its two-day programme on Wednesday as one of the components of the NAPPR project, restated its commitment to ensuring transparency and accountability in Nigeria.
In a statement, Dr. Suleiman A. Suleiman, Executive Director noted that the development is to create a unified reporting template that will enable stakeholders to better understand and track the progress of anti-corruption initiatives.

“Our goal was to bridge the gap between Anti-Corruption Agencies’ efforts and public perception by uniting CSOs and media organizations in shaping anti-corruption reporting.
“Their insights and expertise will be invaluable in developing a reporting template that meets the needs of all stakeholders and helps to strengthen anti-corruption efforts in Nigeria”, he said.
He said the four-day roundtable engagement, brought together past and present heads of anti-corruption agencies, mid-level executives representing the various ACAs, investigative journalists, CSOs, and media organizations participated to share best practices on a unified reporting mechanism.
PRNigeria reports that the NAPPR Project aims to bridge the gap between anti-corruption efforts and public perception by fostering transparency and public engagement.
