Immigration Service Graduates 599 Cadets in Kano
The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) on Saturday passed out no fewer than 599 Officers from the Immigration Training School (ITSK) in Kano.
The cadet officers were among the personnel who went through the 48th Superintendent Basic Course.
The Comptroller General of the Service, Caroline Wuro-Ola charged the newly commissioned officers to shun all forms of corruption as the Nigerian Immigration Service has zero tolerance to any sharp practices that will tarnish the existing image of the service.
Caroline Wuro-Ola maintained that the present Management has continued to demonstrate a huge commitment to human capacity development efforts to ensure that the Service produces a professional workforce that would be sufficiently capable to confront emerging challenges in border security and management.

The CGI emphasized the need for the personnel to avoid compromise in the cause of their duty, especially with the global migration dynamism and world security trends.
Caroline Wuro-Ola urged them to remain apolitical and ensure non-Nigerians are giving their rights as highlighted by the law.
“I enjoined you to always adhere to NIS Act, NIS manual and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) standards”, Caroline Wuro-Ola reiterated.
She then commended the Commandant of training school for the wonderful job of coordination of the training.
The CGI appreciated the Honourable Minister disposition and sterling way of handling the affairs of the Ministry since his assumption to office.
“Of course he has provided the enabling environment and policies that accelerate our efficiency in discharging our duties”, CGI stated.
Important personalities attended the today’s passing out parade of the 599 cadet officers.
