SABRE Africa Unveils Jury, PRNigeria Fact-Checker, PR Specialists among 2024 Jurors
The Organisers of Superior Achievement in Branding, Reputation & Engagement (SABRE) Awards have unveiled members of the jury for 2024 Categories of the award.
The SABRE Awards which recognise excellence in public relations practice are organized by PRovoke Media, a leading provider of news and information for the public relations and marketing communications industries. The ceremony will take place in Ivory Coast during the annual Conference of African Public Relations Association (APRA) in May 2024.
Among the jurors is Mohammed Dahiru Lawal, award winning PRNigeria Fact-Checker and Executive Secretary, Network of Advocates for Digital Reporting (NADIR) who is also a member of the National Spokespersons Awards (NSAwards).

Among the jury are Leaders of global public relations and integrated marketing communications companies in Africa. They include Corazon Sefu Wandimi, Managing Director of Edelman Kenya; Dustin Chick Managing Director Razor PR of the M&C Saatchi Group South Africa; Nicola Tarr, the Managing Director, Tribeca Public Relations.
Other Communication leaders include Lara Magnus, Founding Member Of Orange Ink, Carly Simon, Account Director at WE Communications; Sergio Santos-van Vuuren, Public Relations Director at Clockwork, a leader in communication solutions
Also on the list are financial service marketing communications professionals. They are Nelson Karanja, the Director Communications & Engagement at FSD Africa; Bernise Games, Marketing Lead at YuLife, and Brina Biggs, a Senior Marketing Manager at 1Life Insurance.
Similarly, prominent inhouse communication and PR Specialists made the list of the jury. They include Oluwasola Obagbemi, a Corporate Communication Manager Meta (formerly Facebook) for Anglophone West Africa; Precious Nkabinde, Communications and Public Affairs Manager, Roche Diagnostics, Africa; Iviwe Poti, a marketing Manager, Isuzu Motors South Africa; Jared Stokes, Senior PR & CSR Manager, The Walt Disney Company Africa.
