David Opara: After Manhunt, Most Wanted Cultist in Rivers Eliminated

The prime suspect in the gruesome killing of the Divisional Police Officer of Ahoada Division has died from wounds he sustained after raids on his hideouts in Ahoada East Local Government area of Rivers

The notorious criminal, David Gift Opara, also known as 2Baba was declared the most wanted cult kingpin after Governor Siminalayi Fubara, placed a bounty of N100 million for slaughtering the late police officer, SP Bako Angbashim.

PRNigeria gathered that after sustained airstrikes by the Nigerian Airforce (NAF), the police operatives sustained massive withhunt and ground operations leading to the killing of scores of murderous cultists while others sustained injuries.

Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, CP Tunji Disu was said to have coordinated and provided tactical guidance on the ground operation.

Meanwhile a defence intelligence source told PRNigeria that the airstrike, which was part of a joint operations with the Nigerian Police was initiated based on credible intelligence indicating the presence of “2 Baba” and his criminal gang hiding in the swampy forest.

The source revealed that the precise airstrikes on the target, resulted in the complete obliteration of the gathering.

“The explosion’s mushroom nature and the instant ignition of the impact point, despite the swampy conditions of the forest, strongly suggest the possible presence of a fuel substance. The assessment also revealed individuals scrambling in various directions.

“Though many were killed others sustained severe injuries from the joint srcurity operation.”

David Okpala Okpolowu AKA “2 baba” has been evading authorities for several months his alleged involvement in the ruthless murder of Bako Angbasim, a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Ahoada-East Local Government Area. The incident resulted in the killing and dismemberment of Angbasim’s body.
