Navy, Fire Fighters Foil Inferno at Abuja Shopping Plaza

    By Mukhtar Ya’u Madobi

Although no official statement was issued on the cause of the inferno, an eyewitness revealed that an electric spark in one of the shops ignited the fire outbreak with the potential to consume many other shops & properties, if it had not been brought under control.

As a result, the Nigerian Navy Firemen responded to the distress call and assisted the Federal Fire Service (FFS) and the National Defence College (NDC) Fire Service to put off the raging flame.

It was gathered that no life was lost and damage to property was very limited due to the swift action of the NN Firemen.
