JUSTICE SERVED: Two Military Officers to Face Court Martial Over Kaduna Bombing

The Military high command has announced that two officers have been indicted by a panel set up to investigate the bombing of innocent people in Tudun Birin, Kaduna State.

PRNigeria had reported that in December, a drone operated by the Nigerian Army bombed residents of Tudun Biri in Kaduna State during a religious celebration.

While the government placed the casualty figure at 81, Amnesty International claimed 127 villagers were killed in the incident.

The officers, according to the Director Defence Media Operations (DMO), Major General Edward Buba, will face a court-martial for their actions.

Gen. Buba disclosed this while briefing the newsmen at the bi-weekly briefing in Abuja on Thursday.

“The investigation has been concluded, and we found out that the incident should not have happened in the first place. Two officers have been indicted. The incident should not have happened. I would not say much in order not to jeopardize the court case.”
General Buba did not disclose the ranks of the officers who have been found culpable.
